Cold Conversation Restart: Should You Text Her Again, and What to Send?

Six questions about the silence. One honest answer: restart, wait, or let it go, with restarts that fit and the rule for what happens next.

How it works

Tell the planner how long it has been, who sent the last message, how the conversation ended, whether you’ve met, how many restarts you’ve already tried, and what you last talked about. It tells you whether to restart now, wait, or let it go, which kind of restart fits (a callback, a fresh opener, or a straight plan), shows examples, and gives you the rule for what to do if she doesn’t answer.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type or paste is sent to us or stored anywhere.

The rules it follows

  • If she sent the last message, it isn’t a restart: you owe her a reply.
  • A follow-up within about three days of an unanswered question reads as pressure. Wait.
  • One restart is fair. A second, weeks later and with something new, is the limit. After two unanswered restarts, the silence is an answer.
  • Never mention the silence. Start as if you just thought of her, because you did.
  • After a “busy” or a date, a specific plan beats another round of texting.

These come from our guides on reviving a dead conversation and double texting.

When to let go

Letting go is part of the skill. A man who keeps texting into silence teaches her to expect it; a man who sends one good restart and then moves on keeps his dignity, and often gets a reply weeks later anyway. If you’re trying to work out why it went quiet in the first place, start with why did she stop texting me.

Questions

How long should I wait before restarting?

Usually at least four days after an unanswered message, and longer if your last message was a question she left on read. After a few weeks, the restart should bring something new rather than continue the old thread.

Should I ask her why she stopped replying?

Rarely. It puts her on the spot and almost never gets an honest answer over text. A light restart tells you what you need to know: if she’s interested, she replies; if not, you have your answer without a confrontation.

Does it store what I enter?

No. Everything runs in your browser on your own phone or computer. Nothing you enter is sent to us, and nothing is saved.
